12th Annual National Black Herstory Awards Banquet to Take Place at Emory University

The National Black Herstory Task Force and Emory Center for Women will host their annual awards banquet on March 28 at the Rita Anne Rollins Room in Emory University. The banquet will honor a host women of African descent and their allies, this year highlighting "Women of Color in Action: Leaders, Activists and Heroines." From attorneys to professors to police, the women honored span over a wide spectrum, all of whom have given a great service.

The banquet takes place after the two-day conference, also taking place at Emory University, and will feature panels on diverse subjects from "Grandparents Raising Grandchildren" to "The Herstory of Preachers Outside the Pulpit."
