Iranian rockers Hypernova made the right decision to relocate to New York City. Here in the fair USA, the dark, goth-tinged post-punk band (sometimes leaning towards Interpol, sometimes veering into rougher Queens of the Stone Age territory) has managed to continue to record and tour without having to worry about the possibility of say, public flogging, for playing “Western” music. And they have flourished. Atlanta will welcome the band to the Drunken Unicorn on June 24, and we have a pair of tickets to give away to the gig.
