Having left his groove on records by artists like Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and Nas (and currently our own Black Lips), Ronson came back with his own band, The Business Intl, in September for his third album, Record Collection. As per usual, Ronson’s effortless cool and amalgamation of genres from hip-hop to doo-wop to post-punk combine to make a record that is sleek without being overproduced and poppy without the cheese. Case in point: “The Bike Song,” which mixes early hip-hop vibes with classic soul and a fresh squeeze of f21st century hipster bubblegum. Check out the video below and be charmed.
