AMG Weekend Picks: 500 Songs for Kids, Mike Herrera, Peter Bjorn and John and More!

[ 0 ] April 28, 2011 |

Happy Almost-Weekend y’all! We hope you are all alright after those scary storms last night. Looks like the majority of us were unaffected, but we encourage you to donate or help how they can when it comes to our neighbors, whether they be in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina or anywhere. Give what you can folks!

And speaking of charity, the wonderful 500 Songs for Kids kicks off tonight and will last 10 long, rocking and rolling nights, and we heartily recommend that you make it out to at least one night and fork over loads of cash to these people. Charity makes you feel good, so do it often and with vigor!

Thursday, April 28 – 500 Songs for Kids First Night

Atlanta’s favorite 10-night charity concert extravaganza is back! The first night kicks off with Lindsay Rakers Band, Six Shot Revival, Thomas Tillman and many more playing their inspired covers of The Greatest Feel Good Songs of All Time upstairs while downstairs The Well Reds, Tall Bear and AM83 play special sets, all to benefit the amazing Songs for Kids Foundation.

Catch the charming coos of bird-voiced local Adron when she shares the stage with the trippy sounds of Mathis Hunter and the Rinse.
