Well, we knew it would happen one of these days. Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon have canceled the rest of their U.S. tour due to what they are claiming as exhaustion. This is following last Friday night, when frontman Caleb Followill walked off stage claiming he was too hot to perform.
“We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire U.S. tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion,” reads a statement from the band’s publicist. “The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break.”
The statement also says that the 28 days cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule. Tickets are due to be completely refunded. Even though Caleb Followill chalks up the Dallas incident as “heat exhaustion and dehydration,” the rest of the brothers are not of the same tune, hinting at the pending implosion of the band. Drummer Nathan Followill called the Dallas show a “fiasco” on Twitter, and bassist Jared Followill wrote “I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”
Could the past Atlanta show be one of the last of brothers Followill?
