Believe it or not, summer is supposedly winding down to a close. Weird, because it still feels like the middle of the hellish hot season. But we can dream of cooler days. And this weekend is a perfect way to look forward to the fall, with some uber-summeresque parties and outdoor gigs.
Thursday, August 25 – Nophest Summer Music Festival at The EARL
If you’re a super-hip chick or fella, you’ll be checking out the left-field vibes of Nophest, with A. Grimes, Vegan Coke and Hip to Death performing.
Friday, August 26 – Los Lobos at Atlanta Botanical Garden
Summer is almost over, so get to Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Concerts in the Garden while you still can. Los Lobos mix up rock ‘n’ roll, Tex Mex, R&B and more in the next-to-last Concerts in the Garden gig.
Saturday, August 27 – Trailer Vic’s Beach Party at The EARL
What better way to see off the end of summer with a rock ‘n’ roll beach party? Get some sunny cocktails, slap on some sun cream and lounge by the pool (yup, actual pool) at The EARL while Grinder Nova, Os Ossos and Pinche Gringo play. And at night Dan Sartain, The Booze and more get loud inside the club.
Saturday, August 27 – Departure at The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater
Fancy a bit of Journey while you wind down the summer with some white wine and cheese? Then head on to the lil’ concert oasis that Peachtree City calls The Fred for Journey tribute act Departure.

This rock chick has come a long way in the last few years, and we’re so excited to see the incredible Grace Potter get all the attention she deserves.
