Each of these are true, all time, classics with so much feeling that they are emotionally devastating. I would argue that he brings the required feeling to each song, like a good interpreter of music. His guitar parts are amazing. The guy has soul. He also sold out, a bit, to have some hits. Not unusually. Hall and Oates had plenty of soul and sung a bunch of cheezy crap in the 80s to make money. That’s just the business…
