What’s Up Thursday?

WOOO HOOOOO It is officially almost the weekend, and what’s even better, it’s a holiday weekend! What’s up three days off! What do you guys have planned? Last days of lake?

-It’s a night of a whole bunch of different flavors over at Smith’s Olde Bar where my friend, DJ Mudfish will be spinning his latest mixtape, and The Wheeler Boys and Joe McGuinness close out the night.

-By now we are all pretty aware of the awesomeness that The Cumberland Collective brings to Eddie’s Attic. For this show, The Cumberland Collective will feature; Mike Willis, Connor Rand, Clay Evans, Isaac Hayden, Noah Collins, Jason Eskridge, Debra Gordon, Reggie Sullivan, Brendan Bull, and Philip Lowman. Surprise guests are also inevitable! They may even play some of their new tunes from their first record, a double LP called, “In the Room.”

-For the past few years, Puffy Areolas have been fritzing synapses and scorching the landscape with their corroded psych / hardcore scree. They are at The Earl this evening.

-While winning over the college crowd, Cole Swindell acquired a passion for the industry and hooked up with another Georgia artist and fellow Sigma Chi fraternity brother, Luke Bryan. The pair continued to play shows together at local venues around Georgia, and shortly after graduation Cole made the move to NashvilleLuke Bryan’s Spring Break EPs “Hangover Edition” and “Shore Thing” included four cuts by Cole: “I’m Hungover,” “In Love with the Girl,” “Love in a College Town” and “Shore Thing,.” See him tonight at Peachtree Tavern for the Tennessee vs. NC State pre-party.

-“Young Antiques singer/guitarist Blake Rainey switches gears out of his more characteristic Southern pub rock ‘n’ roll stylings to play a more rustic and introspective set with his other band, Blake Rainey & His Demons. For this show at the 529 he shares the stage with Ben Trickey, Dirty Hotel Sunshine, and JR Laz & the Fernet Brothers.” -Creative Loafing

-All of our “favorite gentlemen” will be rocking it out at the Masquerade tonight! Go check out my good buddies: All Get Out, Harrison Hudson, Death on Two Wheels, Junior Astronomers, and Concord America.
