Well hey y’all! How was your week? I have gotta tell you, I am REALLY excited for this week to be over! But you gotta love A) this cooler weather, and B) how many amazing shows are coming up this weekend!

-Roaring out of the southern Indiana foothills comes Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band playing a brand of Americana and Blues that stands alone – Delta blues and hillbilly fervor combine with musical acuity sharp as razor wire – best know, this trio is a force to be reckoned with. Playing Smith’s Olde Bar.

-“Dean Fields writes lyrics like Leonard Cohen and sings like Jeff Buckley. It’s no surprise that there’s a serious buzz on this Virginia singer-songwriter.” (Free Times) See for yourself tonight at Eddie’s Attic.

-Hometown boys, Ruby Velle & the Soulphonics are rocking out at The Earl tonight with their pals The Dynamites.

-Female trip, Hunter Valentine is at The Drunken Unicorn tonight with The Sexual Side Effects.

-With Valley Tangents, Queens-based drone music duo Blues Control reveals a pattern in the noise. They are at the 529 tonight.
