Both are amazing musicians, both have won Grammy’s, and both got their start in a little place we like to call home! For those of you not aware, Zac Brown Band’s Clay Cook & John Mayer went to school together at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, and dropped out to move to Georgia and start a band…the LoFi Masters. Needless to say, we know how the story turned out.
For the first time since 1998, Mayer and Cook are back on stage together at Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Nashville, this weekend, Sept. 21-22. The lineup includes Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, Sheryl Crow, The Lumineers, David Gray, Amos Lee, and of course a sit in from GA. boy Gregg Allman. This will be a festival worth driving up for!
