What’s Up Wednesday?

Oh thankfully, this week seems like it is flying by! But there is a ton of great events happening tonight, so be sure and catch one of them!

-The temptress of the piano, Ms. Fiona Apple  will be mesmerizing her crowd tonight at the Tabernacle.

-Down the road a bit, another quirky princess, St. Vincent will be in town with her collaboration with David Byrne at the Cobb Energy Center.

-Nashville garage-punker, Pujol, will be bringing his usual rowdiness to the 529 tonight.

-Upon hearing the unique and refreshing sound of Nicki Bluhm, it becomes immediately clear why she is in the midst of a breakout year. Nicki has filled a void in music with her brand of vintage-tinged rocking country soul. See her tonight at Smith’s Olde Bar.

-When the then 21-year old Mac DeMarco released his debut Rock and Roll Night Club 12” just a short while ago in the Spring of 2012, it was accompanied by a barrage of bizarrely funny promo videos, wildly unhinged live performances and a not-so-subtle disparate range of promo photo. Like a young David Bowie, he is at The Earl tonight.

-Country singer/songwriter, ELIZABETH COOK, made her Grand Ole Opry debut on March 17, 2000, appearing repeatedly thereafter — a remarkable achievement considering that, at the time, she was an indie artist with no radio airplay. See her perform tonight at Eddie’s Attic.
