Let the holidays officially begin! Pretty soon, every store you walk into is going to be filled with holiday cheer, so get yourself prepared! Was everyone safe last night? If you are not going through a sugar overload, why don’t you check out one of these shows tonight.

-CHAPPO have been cause célèbre for lovers of fuzzy space rock since their song “Come Home” inexplicably landed in an iPod commercial just over a year ago. They are at The Basement at Graveyard Tavern tonight.

-The Features’ exhilarating new Wilderness (Serpents and Snakes/Bug Music) quickly establishes the Nashville-based combo as one of the most exciting and imaginative bands working today. They are playing Terminal West with He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister.

-Dubbed by Rolling Stone as “Gothic Americana” and declared “one of the new century’s most exciting folk-rock bands” by the Cleveland Scene, Frontier Ruckus sounds like The Avett Brothers meet Neil Young, and they are showing off their goods tonight at The Earl.

-It’s a little bit of Ireland tonight at Eddie’s Attic, where Nuala Kenendy will be mesmerizing fans with her flute.

-Sic Alps are a noise pop group from San Francisco and perennially lysergic musical outlet of Mike Donovan, who formed the band with Adam Stonehouse (The Hospitals) in 2004. They are at the 529 tonight.
