THOMAS WYNN & THE BELIEVERS personifies rugged, yet uplifting spirited rock, sprinkled with southern soul R&B. Tunes brutally honest & heartfelt, the themes go beyond years of drugs, heartbreaks & hypocrisy to deliver a message of hope. “Soulful, gritty tunes, some as sweet as honeysuckle and others ferociously jagged …reminiscent of Levon Helm, Neil Young and the Allman Brothers, but they still boldly radiate a sound and southern charm all their own.” Metromix. They joined us for our 5GB series before their show tomorrow at Eddie’s Attic.
What’s the first gig you ever attended?
Chubby Checkers, at the State Fair…I was nine or so…and he was awesome in his Blue One-z…
What is the best gig that you ever played/performed?
There have been many gigs that I’ve thought was the best gig ever…having to narrow it down to one, though…opening up for Leon Russell was pretty incredible.
What is the best gig you have ever seen?
I’d have to say Stevie Wonder…whew, that man is a wonder, for sure!
What is the gig you would most like to play?
Touring with Tom Petty would be pretty awesome…
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
Man, there are just so many great bands…but
Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, and Ryan Adams…or wait, Paul McCartney, The Black Crowes, and Ray LaMontagne
Or no, no…Bob Seger, Tom Waits, and My Morning Jacket…
Or Should David Bowie be in there somewhere…
I can’t decide…
