Foster Davis is a Greenville based DJ and electronic music producer who performs live as KrushMode. Hidden from the public eye this electronic heavyweight has risen from the depths where his beats and dexterity have been brewing and marinating for the past eight years. He has an original idiosyncrasy that covers a wide range of hyphy electronic styles. He avoids classifications and continues to do so with his funkadelic performances. KrushMode continues to turn heads with his relentless style and has much to bring to light in the near future.
We asked Foster Davis some questions about his favorite memories, his dream lineup and his stage name KrushMode! Check out what he had to say below!
What is the strangest thing a fan has done for you?
The strangest thing is when peeps act like I’m a king of some sort…kind of funny when I feel like a speck on the map when it comes to EDM, sort of gratifying though.
What is the funniest moment you’ve had as an artist so far?
The funniest thing would have to be when my 58-year-old father was playing trumpet with me during my set opening up for Big Gigantic and a 17 maybe 18-year-old chick wanted to take him home. Awesome moment to have with dad.
Do you have any pre-show rituals?
Just a simple prayer, then some Crown ‘n Cokes!
If you could describe your music in one word, what would it be?
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
SoundTribe, Phadroid, Tipper and Beats Antique.
How did you come up with the name KrushMode?
The name makes an impact when you hear it and I strive to do that every show I play.
