If you love to keep up with the Atlanta music scene then Tunes from the Tombs is the festival for you! The Historic Oakland Cemetery will host Tunes from the Tombs on Saturday, June 8th! This festival will pack in over a dozen well-known ATL bands in one of the most historic and beautiful cemeteries in the country. Be sure to check out the schedule below and grab tickets!


Creative Loafing Lion Square Stage:

6:15pm – Blair Crimmins and the Hookers – New Orleans roots/Americana/swing
5pm – 4th Ward Afro Klezmer Orchestra – jazz
4pm – The Bonaventure Quartet (featuring Amy Pike) – jazz/swing
3pm – Bird City Revolutionaries – reggae
2pm – The Breeze Kings – blues
1pm – Caroline and the Ramblers – rockabilly

Scoutmob North Public Grounds Stage:
6:30pm – Rod Hamdallah – blues/rockabilly
5:30pm – Slim Chance and the Convicts – Americana/alt.country
4:30pm – The Deadfields – Americana
3:30pm – Rolling Nowhere – Americana/alt.country/roots rock
2:30pm – Little Country Giants – folk/Americana
1:30pm – Spanky and the Love Handles – New Orleans delta blues

Other performances throughout Oakland on smaller vignette stages:
Wasted Potential Brass Band – jazz / standards / busking & stage (two special 40-minute performances)
6pm – Atlanta Sacred Harp Singers – shape note singing

***To soothe your spirits, Tunes from the Tombs will have plenty of beer and wine. Local Atlanta food trucks will be serving a variety of tasty festival fare. Festival attendees can also take a complimentary guided mini-tour, or have their fortunes read by Atlanta’s own, Robyn Avalon.

All proceeds benefit Historic Oakland Foundation. The work of the Foundation is supported by grants from charitable foundations, individuals and events like Tunes from the Tombs.
