Happy Monday Atlanta! We hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend! Between Decatur Beach Party, Midsummer Music Fest and The SOS Band and Confunkshun, we sure did! It was busy, but it couldn’t have been better! We’ve got a pretty light schedule tonight, but two awesome SOLD OUT shows! Hopefully you scored your tickets to The Neighbourhood at Center Stage or to Tame Impala at the Tabernacle! These shows are going to rock!

The Neighbourhood @ Center Stage

The group, which formed in August of 2011, is a collection of five friends who make music together. They’re headed by Rutherford, a 21-year-old singer who has dabbled in various genres, including hip-hop, before crafting the merge of sounds that categorizes The Neighbourhood’s style. Their debut EP produced by Justyn Pilbrow, who brought Emile Haynie onboard to collaborate on “Female Robbery.” The EP, recorded at the end of last year, is composed of shadowy, emotional music with visuals to match. And it’s all part of the band’s master plan. The Neighbourhood SOLD OUT Center Stage! Hopefully you grabbed your tickets!

Songwriter’s Open Mic @ Eddie’s Attic

For over 19 years, Eddie’s Attic has hosted Atlanta’s premiere SONGWRITER’S OPEN MIC for the performing songwriter. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in the bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow’s stars.

Tame Impala @ The Tabernacle

Tame Impala, a band from Australia, make psychedelic hypno-groove melodic rock music. They SOLD OUT the Tabernacle tonight! Hopefully you scored your way into the show!

Baths @ The Masquerade

Three years ago, Baths dropped his startlingly beautiful debut, Cerulean. The record blurred the line between post-modern pop and the LA beat scene with devastating emotional clarity. Obsidian, his second album, combines universal questions with personal pain. Baths exhibits what only a few artists are capable of: painting in any shade they desire.

Pretty Please + MORE! @ 529

Originally hailing from Atlanta, and also currently hailing from Atlanta, members of Atlanta’s Pretty Please have gone through no real hardships and have no delusions of rockstar superstardom. They describe their music as high octane heavy alterna-rock radio. Come support your local band tonight at 529 along with Cusp, Dead Fiero, and Hollow Stars.
