Happy Monday Atlanta! Whew. Was this past weekend jam-packed with music or what? We hope you guys had as much fun as we did! Luckily, we are getting a bit of a breather tonight. We’ve still got some awesome shows going on, but a much lighter schedule. Check it out!
Night Moves with Special Guests @ The Earl
Formed in 2009 by guitarist and vocalist John Pelant, bassist Micky Alfano and multi-instrumentalist Mark Ritsema, Night Moves is a distinctly original concoction. Their honey-dipped sound seethes with a kind of down-home tenderness – and like the best glittering music – the arrangements are colossal in shape. Night Moves’ powerful debut Colored Emotions is this Minneapolis group’s first album.
Songwriter’s Open Mic @ Eddie’s Attic
For over 19 years, Eddie’s Attic has hosted Atlanta’s premiere SONGWRITER’S OPEN MIC for the performing songwriter. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in the bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow’s stars.
Jack Daniel’s Honey Concert Series @ Smith’s Olde Bar
A night of live music, friends and cold brews! Featuring tunes from Lindsey Neff (8pm), Myron Todd (9pm) and Bari. (10pm).
Stoic Violence @ The Drunken Unicorn
Stoic Violence are a hardcore band from Long Beach, California. They’ll be playing at the Drunken Unicorn tonight with Beyond Pink, Ralph, Predator and Mercenary. Tickets are $7 at the door. 18+.
