Tedo Stone w/ White Violet @ The EARL

Tedo Stone began writing music at age 12 and has written and recorded 100+ songs with bassist Billy Lyons in the past six years. After moving to Atlanta from Oxford, MS in fall 2011, Tedo (and Billy) put together a band to harness their most poignant songs for live performances and recordings. As Tedo Stone, they released their first 6-song demo Happy in August 2012 (via This Is American Music) with Athens, GAs John Keane (who has recorded the likes of R.E.M., Uncle Tupelo, and Widespread Panic and who also played pedal steel for them).

Seattle-born, Nashville-based Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden play lush, layered indie rock with sparkling melodies and shimmering soundscapes. On their new album, The Shape the Color The Feel, echoes of Cocteau Twins, The Cardigans, and early U2 can be heard in songs that explore the darker moods and brighter vistas of The National, Wye Oak, and Phantogram.
