By Eileen Tilson/ @tktalt_tn

Swedish songstress Lykke Li is definitely not known for being conventional. With her electro-pop, and unique sound have crowned Lykke Li as the Indie Queen, mesmerizing her fans with her sad eyes, dreamy lyrics, and sultry sound. We chatted with her as part of our 5GB series before her show tonight at The Buckhead Theater, and although she may not be one for words in an interview, her show tonight will leave her audience speechless.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

My dad was a musician, so my first show was probably when I was a little baby. My first show that I remember was also my dad’s show when I was about 6 in Portugal.

What is the best gig that you ever played/performed at?

It was when I played the Masonic Temple in Hollywood. I really could feel that the spirits were on my side.

What is the best gig you have ever been to?

I don’t know actually. I think I am still waiting to see my favorite performance.

Gig you would most like to play?

I would like to play at Coachella, and perhaps Central Park, but that’s it. There is no gig that I am yearning for.

What would be the lineup for your dream gig?

I don’t believe in those things. If they are meant to be then they will be. I do like the band that is currently on tour with me now, First Aid Kit.

Catch Lykke Li tonight, Nov.20 at Buckhead Theater
