Travis Tritt w/ Kaitlyn Baker @ Cavalier Arena at Darton State College

No sky is bluer, no air crisper, no leaf greener than after a storm, and Travis Tritt is adding a musical addendum to that list with the release of The Calm After …. Part metaphor and surprisingly literal, the title is reflective of a fresh and focused start for one of the most successful and acclaimed musical creators of his era. The tumult his music has come through to get this point, however, is very real.

General admission tickets start at $35. Doors open at 8pm.

Wild Cub w/ Grizfolk @ Vinyl

Youth is a collection of captured moments…like moving photographs: late night drives, the limitless feeling of falling in love, the freedom of finding a true friend and co-conspirator in an immense world, the cool ocean meeting your toes on a hot summer’s day. Formed in early 2012 by songwriter-composer Keegan DeWitt and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bullock, Wild Cub’s debut LP ‘Youth’ was released last August in the US, and showcases the now five-piece band’s dexterity in seamless transitions between infectious electro-pop, tropical rhythms, and quiet washes of cinematic reflection.

Tickets are $13. Doors open at 8pm. Online, phone and outlet sales end at 4pm.

The Bonaventure Quartet @ Eddie’s Attic

What do you get when you combine the gypsy-jazz stylings of Django Reinhardt and the torchy-twangy mezzo delivery of Patsy Cline with a rowdy troupe of Romani-esque instrumentalists? The only correct answer would be the Bonaventure Quartet! This longtime Atlanta outfit handily transplants you to another time and place while putting their own stamp on it all. The ensemble’s latest album, Lost and Found at the Clermont Lounge, may take its title from the Ponce dive-turned-tourist-attraction, but the disc’s 15 songs traverse decades, regions, whole continents.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Table seats are $18.75 and must be purchased in multiples of 4. Doors open at 6pm. Online and phone sales close at 5pm day of show.
