It’s already the second weekend of October! It seems like my favorite month of the year is flying right by! While these next few weeks may be filled with sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes,and curling up with some Netflix, the weekends are dedicated to fun! In the short time the quintet has been playing together, The Shadowboxers have found a collective voice that is intelligent, soulful, and catchy.

With headliners like Lynard Skynard, Big & Rich, Uncle Kracker & Drive By Truckers, this festival is gonna be rockin’ the southern part of our state all weekend! Over 60 bands will be taking over 5 stages this Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Grab some friends and head south of the city for a weekend of awesome country!

Friday, October 12- Dispatch at the Tabernacle

Dispatch is an American indie/roots band. The band consists of Brad Corrigan, Pete Francis Heimbold, and Chad Urmston. The bandwas originally active from 1996 until 2002. The members then announced a hiatus, which ended in the beginning of 2011, when the band announced a national tour. In May of the same year, Dispatch released an EP containing six new songs, their first all-new release since 2000.

Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics are a modern R&B group based out of Atlanta, GA, and have been a slick addition to the local Atlanta scene since early 2008 (although formed in 2006). Lead female vocalist Ruby Velle, is backed by a solid lineup, including a three piece horn section (trumpet, baritone sax, tenor sax) and rhythm section (B3 organ/keys, electric guitar, bass and drums)
