Atlanta's own Slowearth has won the Best Artist Award for 3 years in a row at the Atlanta Local Music Awards and was given the honor of having Album of the Year by Creative Loafing. Take rock, electronica, synth-pop, jungle, drum and bass, trip-hop, and industrial noise to create a blend of hypnotic rhythm with melody. Mix them together, and you'll find this band who are making waves. This year marks Slowearth's second appearance at the Music Midtown festival. The band has been featured on the WB's "One Tree Hill" and have recently been added to the A&R Worldwide 's roster list along with a host of radio stations along the east coast. Their latest release, Edge , can be found at Tower Records, Criminal Records, Wax n' Facts, and Eat More Records.

Slowearth will be playing Music Midtown Friday April 30th on the 99X Local's Only Stage at 8:30pm.
