There’s a buzz around Atlanta surrounding Snowden and their music. The band, whose namesake comes from Joseph Heller’s Catch-22, has used their hypnotic melodies to capture the attention of crowds at venues such as the MJQ, Echo Lounge, and the Cotton Club. Snowden started as lead singer/songwriter Jordan Jeffares’ project, which then culminated into the five piece band that now exists. Although less than a year old, the band has already scored opening slots for The Hiss and Elefant. Their self-titled EP fuses chaos and serenity with layers of melodies and vocals, giving the songs a cinematic quality that makes it a must-listen for fans of artists like Interpol and The Cure.
