"Steamy afternoons, hot midnights, and silky mornings
Eliciting passion, fire, and mystery
...what is good is gone
but now is back..."
Ask The Californias to describe themselves, and the aforementioned is what you'll get. Although the band has only been playing live since March, The Californias (comprised of Mike June, Ryan Summers, Wesley Flowers, Parker Bleu, and Knox Rivers) have spread their mission of "good time, good love" quickly. The five-piece has captivated crowds and won the hearts of many teenage girls all along the East coast with their sunshine-filled West coast sound. With influences like The Beatles, Weezer, and The Beach Boys , the band's songs are undeniably catchy. Their serious dedication to making uninhibited, happy music shines through during their live performances. Onstage, The Californias radiate joy in their matching suits while crowds dance along to their original songs & covers such as The Who's "My Generation." And with the band hitting the road again in February and aiming for a Spring time release, The Californias are sure to stick around and make Atlanta smile for a long time to come. Check out our AMG Myspace player to hear the band's lovely song, "Breaking My Heart."
