Heathen Chemistry New Years Eve in AtlantaHeathen Chemistry is back for New Year's Eve . We know you don't want to spend New Year's Eve with a bunch of mid-week drinkers or some 80's band, so we're bringing you Heathen Chemistry again! The Hawthorne Heights concert scheduled for tonight- November 26- at the Coca-Cola Roxy has been cancelled due to guitarist Casey Calvert’s unexpected death. 'Tis the season! With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, it's the time of year to rock for a cause. The annual Plymouth ROCK Fest is certainly no exception. During this year's event at Vinyl and The Loft on Friday Nov. 23rd, they will be collecting new or used coats to be donated to the Samaritan Houseof Atlanta. Angels & Airwaves will be touring in support of their new second album I-Empire. The band was created by former Blink-182 and Box Car Racer guitar/vocalist Tom De Longe. Their first album, We Don’t Need to Whisper , reached 4th on the Billboard 200 and went gold. Angels & Airwaves will be appearing at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre on Monday, December 3rd at 7:30 PM. Hard Rock Hotel Atlanta! Atlanta will get it's own Hard Rock Hotel in 2010. Luckie Street Hotel Partners has inked a management contract with Hard Rock International to develop a 270-room Hard Rock Hotel near the Georgia Aquarium. The hotel also will have 30 luxury residences and a flagship retail and entertainment destination. Hard Rock Hotel will feature it's usual rock star experience with first class hotel services, cuisine and nightlife with a distinctive rock vibe.

Show cancelled! The Kaiser Chiefs have announced plans to cancel much of their upcoming U.S. tour, including the Atlanta show scheduled for September 22nd. Drummer Nick Hodgson explained via press release, "We’ve been extremely busy all year and had no time to focus on the future, we plan to have new material out as soon as possible and we’ve wanted to record all summer. This needs to happen before our European & UK shows at the end of the year so we can play a few of our new songs live..."

Mastadon singer and guitarist Brent Hinds is reportendly recovering from major head trauma in a Las Vegas hospital following the band's appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards. No offcial word yet on what caused the injury, but we are all hoping for a speedy recovery!

Dishwater Blonde: The powerhouse funk/ soul band Dishwater Blonde returns to Atlanta this Saturday, September 8th, to open for Entropy at The Loft. Check out an exclusive interview with the band here!
