Masquerade

Masquerade is one of Atlanta's biggest venues, a three floor concert hall and club combined. It can be found at 695 North Ave near downtown. The Masquerade was opened in 1988 in an abandoned Excelsior Mill, originally erected in 1890. The stone walls, ancient chandeliers and open mill equipment add to the Masquerade's overall ambience that makes the Masquerade known throughout the world. The upstairs called Heaven, where the bands play, has hosted everyone from the Happy Mondays to Oasis in the early years, as well as top raves and Dj's such as Orbital, The Orb, BT and more. The upstairs holds 1500 people.

The is a nightclub on the lower level called Hell which has everything from 80's music to house, foam parties to fetish nights. A quieter bar area Purgatory has pool tables and a chill out area.
