Kris Allen with special guest Caitlyn Smith at Eddie’s Attic

Most of the world recognizes the name Kris Allen from his rise to stardom on the 8th season of American Idol when he beat out Adam Lambert, and before I had the opportunity to chat with him last week I was guilty of falling into that category as well. But Kris is so much more than just another Idol season winner. Kris is an extremely talented musician who will actually be playing one of his last shows tonight at Eddie’s before he stops touring to release his third album. Be sure to read our exclusive interview with Kris, and don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy Kris’ music in an interactive and intimate setting.

The Internet at The Loft

The Internet made up of Odd Future member Syd “The Kyd” and Matt Martians along with Taylor Walker, Patrick Paige and Christopher Smith released their debut album, Purple Naked Ladies, in December of 2011, as the first album to be released through Odd Future Records. The group backed rap prodigy Mac Miller in 2013, at a London promotion for Miller’s new album, and have been on the rise since then. Chris and Patrick can be heard playing live drums and bass on almost every track on their latest EP Feel Good, as well as keys by Tay who is also featured vocally on the album twice. The sultry instrumentals are complemented by heartfelt lyrics from Syd and guest vocalists such as Yuna and Mac Miller. Together these parts coalesce to present a fuller, more dynamic sound that has evolved and matured significantly since their debut album. Ultimately, you’ll witness a group of good friends having a great time creating something they hope will stand the test of timeless music.
