Bits and Bobs: T.I., Paste, Decatur Book Festival, DragonCon, PleaseRock

– Oh dear. T.I. doesn’t really know how to stay out of trouble. He’s been arrested again (while on probation) with his wife Tiny for smoking weed in his car. Some details on what this means for him are on the AP now.

– We hate to have to report that Paste Magazine has folded. The website will continue.

– All you reading-types out there, get yourself to the epic AJC Decatur Book Festival this weekend. The read-o-rama has grown immensely since it started, with Time cover-star Jonathan Franzen making this year’s keynote.

– And for the “other” type of nerd, there is the also-epic DragonCon, which has already started. We might head on down there to stalk the Phelps twins (AKA the Weasley twins from Harry Potter).

-The lads of PleaseRock are really bringing it to Smith’s Olde Bar on September 29. They’ll be playing the entirety of The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as well as all of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon. Two seminal records played to perfection by one of Atlanta’s most talented groups of musicians. The poster is below.
