Minature Tigers Record Daytrotter Session, Play Atlanta @ Vinyl on May 8 w/Kevin Devine and More

Phoenix's Minature Tigers are coming to Atlanta on May 8 in support of Kevin Devine (whose new record, Brother's Blood, has just been released on Manchester Orchestra's Favorite Gentleman record label), as well as Sarah Jaffe and Brian Bonz. The Arizona band just recorded a smashing session for Daytrotter, and it's chock full of hooks and sunny pop.

The Constellations Release New Video for “Felicia,” Play The Loft May 1 with Black Kids

Atlanta's own hipster super-group The Constellations just released a video for their hip-bumping song "Felicia," which we just stumbled on over at Pine Magazine's blog. Featuring the band's singer Elijah Jones and a bunch of saucy pinup girls in a photo shoot, it's fun and steamy, just like the band.

The group will be performing at 500 Songs for Kids at Smith's Olde Bar on April 30 (tickets available here!) and have just announced that they will be opening for Black Kids on May 1 (tickets here).

Deleted Scenes Get 8.0 From Pitchfork, Play Pine Mag’s Showcase @ Star Bar June 4 w/The Wild, Abby GoGo, Tres Bien, Book of Colors

We all know it ain't easy to gain favor from Pitchfork. Which is why we took notice of this quaint Americana band from DC, Deleted Scenes, whose record Birdseed Shirt got an amazing 8.0 rating from the music mega-blog. As you can see by the nifty video above – made by DC cool-folks Brightest Young Things on the metro – the band makes great music coming straight from the soul, letting you feel all the hurt and all the joy as honestly as possible.

The band will be coming to Atlanta to play a free gig for Pine Magazine on June 4 at Star Bar, and they'll be joined by The Wild, Abby GoGo, Tres Bien and Book of Colors.

The Passion Pit Debut Video for “The Reeling” – Playing Drunken Unicorn on June 6

One of the funnest bands out right now, Passion Pit, have just released an equally fun video for their charming, boppy, dancy, sparkly song "The Reeling." If this doesn't get you in the mood for their upcoming show at the Drunken Unicorn (tickets available here!) then I don't know what will.
