The Cotton Club is still possibly the city's best venue, despite its move from the popular Midtown location to downtown. It can now be found on Luckie Street beneath a larger venue called The Tabernacle. Its unique 'wider than deep' layout means there is not a bad seat in the house and the venue boasts one of the best sound systems in town both on and off stage. The Cotton Club holds about 1000 people. This venue is part of the Concert Southern collection of venues, including The Roxy and Chastain Park.
