Guided By Voices founder brings his new band to Atlanta

Boston_spaceships The man who formed, fronted, and wrote the majority of the material for early 90’s indie-rock sensation Guided By Voices has a new band, and people are paying attention.  Boston Spaceships consists of ROBERT POLLARD (Guided by Voices,) CHRIS SLUSARENKO (Takeovers, Guided By Voices, Svelt, Sprinkler) & JOHN MOEN (Perhapst, Decemberists, Jicks, Elliott Smith, Dharma Bums.)  The trio had been working on material for fun, and Pollard liked the sounds being created so much that he decided to do his first proper club tour in over two years.

Boston Spaceships are now touring in support of their first album, Brown Submarine.  Pollard’s Trademark acoustic strums and subtle prog flourishes abound, but the group set out to make a pop-punk record that would appeal to lovers of Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Wire and the dBs.
