New Openers Just Announced for AWOLNATION (Dec. 15) and MUTEMATH (Dec. 22) at Atlantic Station

So we’ve been patiently waiting and wondering what bands were going to open for AWOLNATION and MUTEMATH, both part of the Winter Wonder Jam concert series at Atlantic Station throughout December. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that Snowden and Pls Pls will be opening for “AWOL” and The Features and Tesla Rossa will open for MUTEMATH. All around great rock bands on the rise!

Let me give ya quick rundown on these bands:

AWOLNATION Openers:

Snowden
The members of Snowden are originally from Atlanta now located in Austin and New York, they haven’t played Atlanta since July, and they recently signed with Kings Of Leon’s label Serpents and Snakes!

“Snowden’s music sounds like Interpol’s dark momentum getting tripped up on the Arcade Fire’s treacherous terrain – lacquered bolts of guitar judder over off-kilter percussion, and anomic vocals blear through the densely layered mix.”

Pls Pls
Pls Pls is a new project from Dan Dixon, formerly of Atlanta band Dropsonic, recently released a debut EP, titled “EP EP”. It’s fun music with lots of bass and drums. Definitely dance-rock.

MUTEMATH Openers

The Features
“The Features’ exhilarating new Wilderness (Serpents and Snakes/BMG Rights) quickly establishes the Nashville-based combo as one of the most exciting and imaginative bands working today. Songs like “Another One” and “Fats Domino” are marvels of pop ingenuity, animated by vivid lyrics, unshakable hooks, and experimental soul.”

Tesla Rossa
Tesla Rossa is a new young rock/indie band out of Nashville, they made their debut with a sold out showcase at CMJ 2011 and are set to record their debut EP in January with Vance Powell (Jack White, Kings Of Leon, The White Stripes, Wanda Jackson, The Raconteurs, Andrew Belle, The Whigs), a GRAMMY winner for best engineered album for The Raconteurs album “Consolers of the Lonely”.

Also, they just released a 2 show package for a mere $15! That’s right, see AWOLNATION Saturday, December 15th and MUTEMATH Saturday, December 22nd for just $15!
