Hey ${token1}, Welcome to the latest

It's
the season for giving... so get off your butt and do
something to help! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, no
Atlantan should be left hungry, and along with your help, the Atlanta
Community Food Bank can make that happen. The Atlanta
Music Guide is teaming up with our friends at Vinyl along
with some kick ass bands - Second
Shift, Avenge
Vegas, and Noisemaker's
Fife - for one special night Friday November 19th.
Come by and rock out with some of your favorite local acts and help
support a great cause at our food drive!
Every person who donates food
will get an awesome grab bag with tons of buttons, stickers,
and free swag from local and indie acts (such as Snowden, Civil
Circuit, & United
CD samplers, Garden State buttons, The Music stickers,
the latest issue of Civilian Magazine along with their
local music sampler, and more).
With every 3 cans
you donate, you will be entered into a raffle that night (bring 6
cans, and you get two raffle tickets, and so forth) to win an
incredible prize package featuring a bunch of awesome merch from Second
Shift and Avenge Vegas, a $50 gift
certificate from 2-tickets.com,
a pair of 99X Mistle Toe Jam tickets (featuring Velvet
Revolver, Jimmy Eat World, Muse, Keane, and The Music), tickets to one show of
your choice at each of Atlanta's best venues (10 High , Andrews
Upstairs , Velvet Underground), tickets to see Jem at
Vinyl, a prize pack featuring CDs, shirts, and other great
things courtesy of Ruby Red Productions (Butch Walker's
studio), and a whole lot more! Just think - your donation may be only a little to you, but it's a
hell of a lot to the homeless and hungry. Thanks in advance for your
support - see you next Friday! www.vinylatlanta.com

Featured Shows Saturday
November 20 - Helmet, Instruction - Cotton
Club Say
goodbye to the AMGMA's Best Venue winner, as the Cotton Club
will hold its last show before closing its doors to regularly booked
concerts Saturday night. The space (still owned by Clear Channel) will
still be used for private events and as an extra restroom area for
Tabernacle concerts. As a venue whose stage catered to local bands and
served as a place to see acts like Franz Ferdinand & The Killers
before they invaded the airwaves, we will greatly miss this basement
on Luckie Street.
Friday November 5 - Civilian
presents Blue Epic, Good Friday Experiment, The Booze - Hard Rock
Cafe/ Velvet Underground
The newly named Civilian (formerly ATL::Magazine) presents
some of their favorite acts at the Hard Rock Cafe'/Velvet Underground
this Friday. If ever we were to make an exception to the Atlanta
Music Guide, Blue Epic
would be that band. Since signing with TVT a couple of years
ago, Birmingham Alabama's Blue Epic have been the hardworking,
touring act every indie band should strive to be.
*If you want to score a pair of tickets to the
show, email info@atlantamusicguide.com
with your name and number where we can contact you, and we'll let you
know by tomorrow morning! Tickets are available in advance
through Ticket
Alternative. www.blueepic.com
