Weekend! Saturday
December 18th:
'TIS
THE SEASON TO BE AWESOME... - Join the Atlanta Music
Guide at Vinyl this Saturday December 18th as we help fight
hunger and help the less fortunate this holiday season, regardless
if you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, or Decemberween. Tickets
for the show are $10.00, but join our efforts in making someone's
holiday brighter by bringing 2 cans of food, and you'll receive a
music grab bag and only have to pay $8.00! What's
even better - if you bring 5 cans of food, you'll get
into our VIP pre-party where you'll get a couple of free beers
courtesy of Rival
Entertainment and the Sorted
Group and hang out with the bands.Come
rock away the cold weather with us! Kicking
off the show at 9pm will be Athens-based Modern
Skirts, followed by AMG's featured band for October - The
Rantings of Eva. Then, stick around to catch the warm Summer
sounds of The Californias.
Headlining the night will be Birmingham, AL's Blue
Epic, who are definitely a band to be on the look for in
2005 with the upcoming release of their album Good Morning
Paranoia and recent tour stint with The Donnas and The Von
Bondies. See you there! For directions to Vinyl and more,

December 18th:
Atlanta's own Butch
Walker has had quite a year - co-writing #1 singles, touring
some of the country's biggest arenas, and receiving critical acclaim
with his second solo album Letters. He's come home for the
holidays and is ready to rock the Variety Playhouse in Little
5 Points with American Hi-Fi, who will play their own set and
also be Butch's backing band. Walker's Epic Records label mate,
singer/songwriter Val Emmich, opens up the show. The show is sold
out, but our friends over at 2-tickets.com
have a limited number of Butch
Walker tickets left. If you give them a call, please let them
know that Atlanta Music Guide sent you their way! For
more concert dates & listings, check out the Concerts
page on AMG!
