Picture Book & Live Review: Toad the Wet Sprocket @ The Fred July 13th

Toad the Wet Sprocket (3)

Photos and Review by Hillery Terenzi

It takes a lot for me to travel outside the “OTP” of ATL but when I found out that Toad the Wet Sprocket was playing at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City, I knew that was reason enough.
American Idol winner, Lee DeWyze started out the rain-free (thankfully) night. His style of music was perfect to sit back, mix a quick cocktail, and relax. One patron even gave DeWyze a serving of peach cobbler after commenting that he didn’t see a single peach tree in Peachtree City.

At 9pm, Toad the Wet Sprocket came out onstage to play their hour and a half set. The band played their signature hits as well as songs off their new album. Singer Glen Phillips was very thankful to the Fred crowd for coming out and how awesome it was to see people out on their golf carts on the city streets. He also gave a shout out to the security and let them known how impressed he was with how laid back and nice they were to the patrons of the Fred.
