What’s up Monday?

Happy SXSW week! And, who can feel even slightly down when we have all this warm weather to brighten our spirits! Just cause you won’t be in Austin, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take part in all the awesome bands that are headed your way this week. Here’s your Monday sessions.

-“Brooklyn’s goth-tinged post-punk five-piece, The Freshkills,  has enlisted Jim Sclavunos (Grinderman/Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, ex-Sonic Youth, the Cramps) to play drums as the group makes its way across the country in support of its latest release, Bat Rabies, tonight at The Earl. Atlanta post-hardcore group the Liverheats plays its first post-retirement show. Women’s Work also performs.” CL

Jennifer O’Connor will be at the 529 with Tim Foljahn (of Two Dollar Guitar).

Dale Watson continues his residency tonight at Smith’s Olde Bar.

-Over at the Drunken Unicorn you can check out Demonaut, Wolves & Jackals, and Shots Fired.

-Don’t forget to support your own at Eddie’s Attic tonight for Songwriter’s Open Mic Night!
