What’s Up Monday? April 8th

Chad ValleyHow’s everyone doing on this wonderful Monday morning?! Atlanta was poppin’ this past weekend to say the least! Luckily, we’ve got a pretty chill lineup tonight so you’ll have time to relax and get back on your feet! Get you friends together, grab a few drinks and enjoy a night of live music! Check out the schedule below!

Chad Valley @ The Earl

Chad Valley are the personal outpourings of one Hugo Manuel, the balearic inclined vocalist of Oxford’s Jonquil and founder member of the Blessing Force collective. Chad Valley’s song, “Shell Suite” was featured on the recent theater hit, Warm Bodies. Chad Valley recently released his third album, Young Hunger, which is available on iTunes.

Songwriter’s Open Mic @ Eddie’s Attic

For over 19 years, Eddie’s Attic has hosted Atlanta’s premiere Songwriter’s Open Mic for the performing songwriter. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in our bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow’s stars.

Modern Convenience @ 529

Modern Convenience started as a solo project of Mike Bibbs that was born from early home recordings of a made up band that sometimes he makes real. Described as “Art Punk Surf Rock Pop,” Modern convenience is now Mikey B. with a rotating cast of bass players and drummers for live shows. Mikey B. discovers with a mic and some recording gear, you can make anything these days without a big studio. Now that’s a modern convenience.

Jack Daniel’s Honey Concert Series @ Smith’s Olde Bar

A night of live music featuring Long Miles (8pm), Kim Logan (9pm) and Reverend DeBruhl (10pm)! Bring your friends, grab some drinks and enjoy!
