Cass McCombs with Arbouretum @ The EARL

Within his decade-long career, most recently releasing WIT’S END and Humor Risk in 2011, Big Wheel and Others is McCombs’ most encompassing work to date, marking a bold new chapter in the myth of this fascinating and singular artist. It’s brimming with McCombs’ gift for evocative storytelling, introspection, and melody delivered through a haze of mystery and romance.

The Grahams with Sara Rachele and Eliot Bronson @ Smith’s Olde Bar

The Grahams, the creative union of lifelong romantic partners Alyssa and Doug Graham, combine soulful bluegrass with hints of earthy Americana, adding colors from traditional folk and country blues, into an infectious blend of storytelling that results in songs of love, loss, yearning, and the view from rural American roads less traveled.

Songwriter’s Open Mic Night @ Eddie’s Attic

For over 19 years, Eddie’s Attic has hosted Atlanta’s Songwriter’s Open Mic Night for the performing songwriter. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in the bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow’s stars.

Doors at 7pm. Tickets $5 in advance, $6 at the door. Tables with 4 seats are $25. Online and phone sales end at 5pm.
