What’s Up Thursday?

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday!! We are almost there my friends! I can just smell the weekend coming for us! There are so many great shows in our city tonight, you owe it to yourself to see one! Happy Thursday y’all!

Gov’t Mule really needs no introduction….they are legendary. Do yourself a favor and go see them tonight at the Tabernacle.

R. Kelly tours behind his latest release, Write Me Back during his North American Single Ladies Tour tonight at the Fox Theatre.

-The amazing brothers from Texas, Los Lonely Boys, are bringing the Latin flair back to rock tonight at The Loft.

-Folk musician and singer/songwriter, Willy Porter has definitely made a name for himself. Catch him at Eddie’s Attic tonight.

-Since their beginnings in the Kansas heartland a decade ago, guitarist Aaron Moreland and vocalist/harpist Dustin Arbuckle have captured the visceral spirit of the early 20th century Delta blues and the raw energy of post-World War II urban blues and distilled it all into a hard-driving and powerful garage-rock configuration of guitar, vocals, harp and drums. Make sure and see Moreland & Arbuckle tonight at Smith’s Olde Bar.

-Singer-songwriter Alex*Cuba hails from Artemisa, Cuba (1 hour west of Havana) and resides in Smithers, B.C. (14 hours north of Vancouver). Musically, he lives everywhere in between. His trademark sugarcane-sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks and rock chords subtly subvert commonly held notions of what Cuban music is. See hime tonight at Vinyl.

Father John Misty, aka, J Tillman, aka, former drummer for Fleet Foxes, aka, prince of the northwest indie kids is playing Terminal West tonight. This one is probably gonna pack out.

-Take your chances of getting fake blood thrown at you and the rest of the thrashers tonight at the Gwar show at the Masquerade.
