erin thomas
What a beautiful Thursday it is! We’ve got a huge lineup of shows for you tonight! Whatever your taste in music may be or whichever Atlanta venue you prefer, tonight’s shows are sure to make your Thursday! You won’t want to miss out!

Erin Thomas @ Eddie’s Attic
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Erin Thomas evokes the styles of Alison Krauss, Patty Griffin, Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones but remains a unique – and gorgeous – voice. Her new album “You Don’t Know Me” is a collection of songs that tell universal stories of life’s challenges, accomplishments, pleasures, and yearnings. It features appearances by some of the best instrumentalists in the world as well as the song “That Kind of Love”, a duet with Vince Gill.

The Emerald Evolution @ Smith’s Olde Bar
A live music experience like no other; combining the best elements of theatre, music, art, and dance. This monthly show, reminiscent of the Moulin Rouge, transports the audience to a musical playground…The Lipstick Lounge. Not your typical live performance, “The Lipstick Junkies featuring Black Caviar and The Ray of Sunshine” is a scripted show that will feature a new theme every month. Backed by award winning musicians, The Lipstick Junkies are a dynamic trio of beautiful and seasoned performers that will take the crowd on a musical rollercoaster ride of classics and cutting-edge original material.

Volt Concert Series w/ Micah Kiyo and More! @ Vinyl
Micah Kiyo is poised to be this generation’s next IT girl. With a work ethic that underscores her Asian and African-American lineage, she aptly coins the phrase, Urban Pop in describing her music style during her performances. Her energy level resonates with every note she sings and when she dances onstage, you can feel the electricity throughout the room.

Whitey Morgan & The 78’s @ Peachtree Tavern
Outlaw’s always been the rough-around-the-edges, tuff guy uncle at the country music family picnic. Denim and leather, not Stetson and Nudie. Hair by Pennzoil, not Pomade. But, in the right hands—Haggard, Paycheck, Junior, Willie and Waylon and now Whitey Morgan—Outlaw is more than beards and bandanas, ink and attitude, it’s goddamn folk music. It’s about doing the best you can, about getting by and about cold beer and colder women—everything that keeps the honky tonks full on a Saturday night. It’s about standing up when it’d just be easier to fall down.

Kishi Bashi w/ Elizabeth and the Catapult @ The Earl
A lush array of looping and vocal/violin gymnastics… Kishi Bashi’s debut full-length, 151a, is a bright and soaring avant-pop record written primarily on violin – Kishi Bashi’s main instrument which has brought him to record and tour with the likes of Regina Spector, Sondre Lerche, Alexi Murdoch, of Montreal and more.
Hopefully you scored your ticket to the show, if not, head to Criminal Records at 4PM today for a special, FREE in-store performance by Kishi Bashi!

Zomboy @ The Masquerade
Originally from a background of more traditional sound engineering, running his own recording studio, recording bands, artists, and gaining a following in America with his solo project “Place Your Bet$”, it was when he moved to Guildford, UK to study a degree in Music production at the ACM that Zomboy discovered a new love for electronic music. Zomboy sites influences such as Skrillex, Reso, Rusko, and Bare Noize as the reason he wanted to dominate the dubstep scene.
