What’s Up Thursday? March 28th

Love & TheftWOAH! Do we have an AWESOME lineup tonight or what? From country to blues to hardcore rock and pop punk, there is no doubt you’ll be able to find a show tonight that suits your musical tastes! Check out the lineup below!

Love & Theft @ Brewhouse Music & Grill
Love and Theft may be celebrating the release of their second studio album, but to the ACM-nominated country duo, the self-titled release might as well be their first. And in a way, it is. Love and Theft is Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson’s first album since joining RCA Nashville, the home to many of their musical inspirations. That excitement is palpable throughout the 11 songs that comprise the album, a fluid mix of country melodies and sing-along choruses, all driven by Eric’s earthy voice and Stephen’s high-altitude tenor. The guys share lead vocals, harmonize like a church choir, and bolster their songs with their own guitar playing. With a renewed emphasis on organic sounds, the album has brought Love and Theft closer to what it set out to be: a band that writes, records and performs honest, soulful country music.

Buck O’ Five / Frank Bang & The Secret Stash @ Smith’s Olde Bar
The people have spoken and the comments are normally, “You guys are the Gram Parsons of today” or “You are a cross between David Allan Coe and Johnny Cash”. You decide for yourself and let us know. Buck O’ Five has recently released a 5 song EP and is currently putting together tracks for upcoming CD called the Glen Iris Sessions. The amount of miles logged by the members of this band show in there musical prowess, songs and stage persona. They are truly a band to catch when you can.

Whether it be alone and acoustic or amped up and rocking with “The Secret Stash”, Frank Bang is devoted to the music of his youth. His heart is pure rock and roll, but his soul screams the blues. Like Mike Bloomfield and many more before him, it was the combination of raw talent, hard work and devotion that earned him respect, and a following, among blues loyalists. Blues guitar master Buddy Guy chose Frank to play blues guitar alongside him on his national and world tours. When you hear him play you will understand why.

Brain @ The Earl
A six piece amalgamation of musical castaways formed in early 2012 motivated by sounding cool without looking cool. Since then they have achieved one of their two goals. You decide which one. With influences ranging all over the board from 70’s psyche rock to the shittiest pop songs of our day, whatever rises to the top that day is Brain.

Mama’s Love Acoustic Show @ Eddie’s Attic
Mama’s Love is an American Rock band formed in Athens, Ga. in 2007. Like the town where the band resides, the sound is progressive with hints of classic tones. Live energetic shows, definitive song craftsmanship, and a genre-defying sound have formed the buzz that follows the Mama’s Love experience. Catchy melodies, lyrical hooks, and layered harmonies are supported by a tight rhythmic foundation with a classic rock, funk, soul, and americana flavor, harvesting their songs from the roots of time.

The LACS @ The 120 Tavern & Music Hall
Join The 120 Tavern & Music Hall & 94.9 The Bulls “Backyard Country” for a night you won’t soon forget! The LACS which is the famous short abbreviation of the Loud Ass Crackers are from the sandy dirt roads of Baxley, Georgia. The LACS consist of hip hop artist Clay “Uncle Snap” Sharpe and lead vocalist / guitarist Brian “ Rooster” King. The LACS latest album is still in the works but already has created a buzz with its contributions from Average Joe recording artist Colt Ford on the song “Shindig” and allowing the LACS the privilege of performing some of his tour dates.

Mansions on the Moon @ Terminal West
Specializing in electronic down-tempo and ambient rock, Mansions On The Moon has been winning over music fans and fellow artists with their mesmerizing arrangements, creative remixes and wide range of musical capabilities. Formed only a little over a year ago, this exciting Los Angeles trio of songwriters and producers have already collaborated with N*E*R*D, toured with Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa, had a Mixtape produced and presented by DIPLO and BENZI entitled “Paradise Falls”, and produced the track “PA Nights” on Mac Miller’s new album “Blue Slide Park.”

The Tascam Raider @ The Drunken Unicorn
The Tascam Raider (Chris Wilfong) is a singer/songwriter that is always going for more than your typical verse chorus verse chorus with an acoustic guitar thing. Blending laptop DJing, using beats you can dance to and phat synth bass, driving rhythmic guitar work and catchy lyrical hooks which all bring a range of emotion and character dynamics that will strike at the hearts and minds of all his audiences. The live looping of vocals and guitars, and an array of effects, bring his whole show to an epic proportion that is a gift for all.

Neo Cons @ 529
The Neo Cons are described as “Hardcore-by-death savants from the SF Bay Area.” If you’re into “raw, in-your-face hardcore with a garage punk twist,” then this is your kind of show! Check them out tonight!

The Story So Far @ The Masquerade
The Story So Far are the West Coast’s brightest star in pop punk. Based in San Francisco Bay Area’s East Bay the band has developed a rabid following, routinely running up and down the coast. While the band’s newest album Under Soil and Dirt is catchy and full of melody, it often tows the line between hardcore and hard rock all while clearly making a statement about the band’s punk rock leanings. The songs are honest, sincere, and emotional and the music behind the lyrics is as heavy as it is accessible.
