What’s Up Tuesday?

So, how was your weekend? It’s always hard going back to work after a long weekend, but I honestly have to admit, I was excited to get back at it….So, just in case you are feeling a little frisky to get back at it, here are your choices for the day…

David Dondero is best known for his narrative tales of America. Having spent most of his life on the road, Dave uses his staggering lyrical talent to paint tales of life in the US of A through clever word play and sarcastic humor (as represented in the album title) about some of life’s most sensitive subjects. He is at Smith’s Olde Bar this evening.

-They have recorded critically acclaimed albums (Village Voice, Denver Post, San Francisco Chronicle) on Jello Biafra’s Alternative Tentacles label. Spin Magazine and No Depression have described them as the best live band in America. Catch Slim Cessna’s Auto Club tonight at The Earl.

Amy Andrews has toured extensively, playing solo and with cellist Alexandra Sia, as The Lovely Drifters. Most recently, Amy’s music has taken her to the Pacific Northwest, with festivals and shows in big cities, and long-forgotten gold rush towns. See her tonight at Eddie’s Attic.

-If you find yourself in East Atlanta tonight, might I suggest you wander into 529 for a little In Ruins, Oiltanker, No Tomorrow, Cheap Art, and Rapturous Grief.
