What’s Up Tuesday? April 16th

Bleached2It’s a beautiful Tuesday morning! Let’s hope the weather stays this way throughout the day! Although we don’t have many shows going on tonight, we sure do have some great ones! Check out the lineup below to see which show fits your musical taste!

Bleached @ The Earl

On the heels of three well-received singles comes Ride Your Heart, the bombastic debut album by LA band Bleached. Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin match their ability to blend a mix of freewheeling ’77 punk with vintage sunny Southern California melodic rock and roll; creating blindingly bright hooks and dark heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and all the crazy fun moments in between. That’s the goal: the sugary and sour, repurposed by two aggressively harmonic musicians and songwriters, stepping into a new visceral dimension of sound. Their full length debut epitomizes this movement – gritty, raw, adventurous and frenzied, tossing you out onto the dance floor, hair mussed from make-outs, cigarette still dangling from fingertips.

GT Glee Club & Agnes Scott Chorale Smackdown @ Eddie’s Attic

The Georgia Tech Glee Club formed as an all-male group in 1906, making it the oldest student organization on campus. Composed of graduate and undergraduate students, the members of the group represent all of the Institute’s colleges. In recent years, the Glee Club has performed at prestigious events both at Georgia Tech and throughout the Atlanta community and has traveled to locations such as New York City, Hawaii, and the UK, spreading what it means to be a Ramblin’ Wreck and a helluva engineer!

Truett Lollis Band @ 120 Tavern

This Tuesday, and every Tuesday, April 16th is the all new Mahalo Musicians jam at The 120 Tavern & Music hall hosted by The Truett Lollis Band! The Jam will take place every Tuesday night, and will be fully back lined with drums bass rig as well as several Mahalo amps to choose from. There will be drink specials all night! This is not an Open Mic this is an invitational jam for Atlantas working musicians! Jam starts around 9pm! It’s FREE!

Hellgoat @ 529

Come witness the finest in black, death, doom, and thrash metal Atlanta has to offer! This show is the first date on Hellgoat’s Northeastern/Canadian spring tour and also their first Atlanta show since last May with Horna.

Kottonmouth Kings @ The Masquerade-Heaven

It all started seventeen years ago, deep in the suburbs of Southern California, in the aftermath of a punk rock & hip hop revolution – an unlikely group of stoned misfits formed a musical partnership that would ignite an entire generation of weed loving, free thinking, bass bumping, rip hop junkies. KMK has become one of the worlds most radical and savagely independent underground musical forces.
