What’s Up Wednesday?

I must admit I am excited about today, because it puts me one day closer to seeing all my favorite people in Atlanta tomorrow! IT is cold and rainy in Nashville right now, and reminding me of England. Always on days like these, I find it highly appropriate to go out and get a couple of drinks in me and listen to some good tunes. Here are a few suggestions for you, if you subscribe to the same mentality.

-Nothing is cooler to me than to see our musical city rally around each other to save our musical home, Criminal Records. Tonight The Masquerade hosts a benefit concert for the shop, featuring performances by The Wheeler Boys, Pocket The Moon, Calm White Noise, and Deku.

-Having played with the likes of The Fray, The Jonas Brothers, Gavin DeGraw, Augustana and Ryan Cabrera, young Tyler Ward is rocking out at Vinyl.

-Chances are if you walk into a tattoo shop in Atlanta, you are almost guaranteed to hear at least one Helmet song. See them live for yourself tonight at Smith’s Olde Bar.

-It will a very triply day downtown, where Dream Theater will be performing at The Tabernacle.

Band of Horses member, Tyler Ramsey, will be definitely playing to a packed (yet quiet!) house at Eddie’s Attic! Rumor has it that BoH is playing a secret show in Athens next week!

-One of my all time favorite native Georgian bluesmen, Marshall Ruffin, is playing as part of the Americana in the Park series at Park Tavern. Don’t Miss Him.

-There will definitely be an “interesting,” viking-esque kind of crowd tonight at The Earl, where Norwegian rockers, Kvelertak will be showing us how the do it up in the Arctic.
