What’s Up Wednesday?

Good Morning Atlanta! I won’t try and be witty at this morning, because frankly I haven’t finished my cup of coffee yet. Regardless, here are your events for this fine Wednesday, hope you get into some kind of trouble.

-The older rockers will be at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for the Eagles.

-Yes, this might be music for those folks who like to feel like rockstars while sipping on wine coolers, but Canada’s version of rockstars, aka Nickelback, can still pack out arenas. They will be at Phillip’s tonight with Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days.

-Athens always seems to pump out the coolest bands! Take Reptar for example, they are blowing up on Alt-Rock radio stations and are playing tonight at The Goat Farm.

-For Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, 2011 was a year packed with over 200 performances, including such mega-musical events as Farm Aid, Bridge School Benefit, Stagecoach, and Country Throwdown,  late night shows, Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Jimmy Kimmel Live…they are at Vinyl tonight, go check them out.

-East Atlanta indie kids, The Mad Flight are rocking it out at The Earl tonight.

-It’s always a surprise at the Drunken Unicorn, you never know who just might be playing. Tonight make sure to catch Wizard Rifle.

-If you haven’t heard of Bombino, then you are missing out on  a young Tuareg guitarist and songwriter,  whowas raised during an era of armed struggles forindependence and violent suppression by government forces. His music is powerful, check him out at The Five Spot.

-Leave it to the Masquerade to book bands that will give you nightmares. Such is the case tonight where you can see (with one eye closed) Behemoth Watain, The Devil’s Blood, In Solitude, Legion X, Royal Thunder.
