What’s Up Wednesday?

Oooh, so when  your first song of the day is U2’s “Desire” you are bound to wake up feeling like a bad ass…I hope after you play this video, you have a slight bit more swagger in your walk today. In fact, put on your biggest sunglasses and wear them all day. You are that cool. Check out what’s happening in Atlanta tonight.

-For what is by far the coolest event happening in this city tonight, legendary Pink Floydian, Roger Waters is back tonight to wow the crowd at Philip’s Arena.

-If you happen to be in East Atlanta, pop into The Earl for Saint Ugly who is playing with Kristian Rodriguez.

-I just love the ATL Collective. If you haven’t checked out this amazing collaboration of musicians, head to Eddie’s Attic tonight to see Will Robertson, Eliot Bronson, Shook Foil, Book Club, and Threadbare, Brother perform Jackson Browne’s The Pretender.

-As the name implies, the 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra melds the Afrobeat style popularized in the 1960s by Nigeria’s Fela Kuti with a particular strain of folk-based melodies developed by mostly Eastern European Jewish peasants in late 19th and early 20th century, which became known as klezmer, while the 4th  Ward is an Atlanta neighborhood whose special characteristics and characters inspired some of Ruzow’s compositions. See this tonight at Steve’s Live Music in Sandy Springs.

-Over at the ever so cool, Drunken Unicorn you can check out Swank Motel, Admirals, Low UFO tonight.

-Our friends at the Masquerade always host some pretty rad shows. Tonight see The Real McKenzies, God Damn Gallows, The Hey Misters.
