What’s Up Wednesday? March 27th

Neulore It’s Wednesday! You know what that means… Only 2 days until the WEEKEND! Good thing we’ve got some killer shows going on tonight to help the week go by faster! Whether you’re into the small, bar-like venues, or the huge arenas, we’ve got shows going on everywhere in Atlanta tonight! Check it out!

Neulore @ Eddie’s Attic

Neulore was formed in Nashville, TN in the Autumn of 2009 to tell stories of hope. After releasing a well-crafted EP, “Apples & Eve”, they have begun to take their heartfelt songs to the masses. With a live show that not only entertains, but affects, leaving the audience with a sense that anything is possible, Neulore is captivating the hearts of all who draw near. Describing their sound as “truth in modern tones” and boldly stating that “the new folk music has arrived” they are firmly rooted in the tradition of community, the pursuit of wisdom, and the telling of timeless stories from a fresh perspective.

Caitlin Rose @ The Earl

Caitlin Rose’s lyrics – visceral, illustrative, witty and wry – are pieces of stories that examine matters of the heart through a unique lens that makes us all see a bit more clearly: from the loneliness of relationships, to palpable dissolving human connectivity, to the loss of love with none of the melodrama. At her core, Nashville’s Rose is a storyteller and a song-crafter who is more interested in what’s being produced than how it helps her along the way. While she often mentions core influences like Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan and Patsy Cline, she’s constantly absorbing books, movies, cultural ticks: when explaining her writing style, she pulls a quote from famed 1930’s daredevil, Karl Wallenda who said, “being on the wire is life; the rest is just waiting.”

Brynn Marie / Julie Gribble @ Smith’s Olde Bar

Catch Brynn Marie now before she goes on tour with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Cheap Trick this summer! This country starlet is blowing up!

Julie Gribble is a fresh face on the Americana/Country scene. Newly moved to Nashville, she has found her voice…a unique, powerful, and honest tone with one of a kind lyrical storytelling all wrapped up with hints of bluegrass, traditional country, with her main base in Americana.

Rosetta @ The Drunken Unicorn

Hailing from Philadelphia, Rosetta desribes their music as 90’s hardcore. This loud band is bringing down the house at The Drunken Unicorn tonight! Come check them out for a rockin’ good time!

Outer Gods @ 529

Come out to 529 for the Outer Gods release! Show is free; tapes are $3. These cavernous, doom sounds come from The Flail and The Wrathe–the anonymous duo behind Outer Gods.

Maroon 5 @ Philips Arena

Adam Levine acknowledges that the title of the new Maroon 5 album Overexposed is something of an inside joke—a wink at the Los Angeles-based band’s seeming omnipresence, particularly in the wake of the frontman’s joining the cast of NBC’s The Voice and of “Moves Like Jagger,” the 2011 smash that topped charts in 18 countries across the globe and became one of the most paid downloaded songs in history. With numerous chart-topping songs, this show is going to be a killer time! Hopefully you got your tickets before they SOLD OUT!

Eric Clapton @ Gwinnett Arena

Eric Clapton recently released his first studio album since 2010, called Old Sock. The album features two new original songs and a collection of some of Clapton’s favorite songs that highlight his vast appreciation and knowledge of music. The album explores romantic standards of the 30’s, reggae, soul, rock, and includes a stand out playful collaboration with Paul McCartney, to create an experience that is quintessential Clapton. This is a show you won’t want to miss!
