What is the best gig you have ever seen?
I was in a coffee shop in LA and wandered into the backyard, where a tiny folk band was playing on instruments that looked like they’d made them by hand. They were older, clearly performing just because it is their long time love. It may have been the mood I was in (I had just had an encounter with an old love of mine), but when they played a particular meandering ballad, the singer’s gentle voice floating above these quiet, wooden sounds… I had to run off to the bathroom because I didn’t want to weep in public
What is the gig you would most like to play?
Just some place with amazing people and a free meal.
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
Just as long as it’s our friends
