Friday June 6th

Beyond 5 @ Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater

Beyond 5, the newest boy band sensation to explode onto the American pop music scene, was formed in 2013 by songwriter and producer, Tyler Castleton, along with co-writer and business partner, Russ Dixon. The group was created through a grueling American Idol-style audition process where over 500 teenagers were strategically whittled down to five ‘powerhouse’ performing artists selected for their singing skills, dancing ability, looks, and personalities. This Nashville-based group shares positive messages through their infectious songs and highly-acclaimed energetic performances, which have received an overwhelming response on a national and international level.

Ryan Horne with special guests, Paul Warner and Cam @ Eddie’s Attic

Independent singer-songwriter Ryan Horne brings his insatiable creative thirst to the table with his latest release, The Whistler and the Majestic. 7 albums into his 10-year career, Horne has arrived at a clear musical vision, and it is grand. With the success of each solo album, strong television placements in shows such as FX’s Sons of Anarchy, The WB’s Hart of Dixie, various commercials and other syncs, and solid writing cuts on various artists records, Ryan has made it clear he will be around for a while as an accomplished and prolific artist/songwriter/performer.

Tides Of Man w/ Capital Arms, Bear Girl and Incite The Ember @ The Drunken Unicorn

Tides Of Man is a instrumental indie rock band from Tampa, Fl. Their first album, “Empire Theory” came out on Rise Records in August of 2009. This was followed by their album “Dreamhouse”. Their new album is set to self release in 2013. It is entitled “Young and Courageous”.

The Rock*A*Teens w/ special guests @ The EARL (SOLD OUT)

The Rock*A*Teens were nothing short of a force of nature. Roaring out of Cabbagetown, GA, they blended a unique mixture of dark, swampy rock influences into a thick primordial stew that defies categorization … Pop? Blues? Jazz? Rockabilly? Garage? Theirs was music of passion and lust, love and heartbreak, hope and despair, triumph and failure, heat and humidity.

Distortion pedals buzz with washes of reverb, organ whines and piano rolls, drums pound with tribal intensity, and the vocals wail and ache and rejoice, wrapping around themselves in a feverish embrace. A cool wash of emotion and grit. A cleansing of your tired and battered soul.

Ringo Deathstarr / DJ Dog Dick w/ Mexcellent, Blunt Fang @ 529

Warm guitars and pulsing drums combine to form an aggressively atmospheric bubble, encompassing the listener in an infectious cohesive which blends the sounds of an era when Sonic Youth and Jesus and Mary Chain walked the Earth with a forward thinking and creatively stubborn indie darling. Joined by Adam Franklin ofSwervedriver on the track “Nowhere” and Jeff Schroeder of theSmashing Pumpkins on “Chain Saw Morning,” Ringo Deathstarr has created a flawlessly crafted sound on God’s Dream, destined and deserving to exist on vinyl.

Stroke 9 w/ The Well Reds / Half King @ Smith’s Olde Bar

Rocking ain’t easy. History has shown us countless examples of bands that couldn’t hold it together, ending in either a spectacular on-stage explosion, or by quietly fading into nothingness. And yet here we have San Francisco’s STROKE 9, happily celebrating over 20 years in the music business. In an industry notorious for churning and burning, Stroke 9’s continued success can be attributed to one thing: They’re too dumb to stop doing it.

Night Fever @ Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater

Relive the 70’s with The Bee Gees tribute band Night Fever!

The Rock*A*Teens w/ special guests @ The EARL (SOLD OUT)

Peanut Butter Wolf @ MJQ Concourse

After three decades of vinyl DJing, PBW now prefers A/V sets, playing music videos pulled from his personal collection of rare VHS, DVD, laser disc, beta, etc.  Peanut Butter Wolf still enjoys a DJ career that has taken him around the world since 1992. Whether it’s a private dinner party for Bill Clinton, a string of dates with the Beastie Boys, Gwen Stefani’s birthday party, or his own high school reunion, Wolf is equally at home behind the turntables.
