Alright guys you’ve almost made it. One more day left until you are free for the weekend! Which means AMG has got you covered for anything and everything going on in the Atlanta music scene. Here are our weekend picks for you:

Friday, January 25th-Arc & Stones with HBGJ at Vinyl
New and up and coming, the Brooklyn alternative rockers will be at Vinyl on Friday. They are set to release their debut EP this spring, and they are ready to bring their progressive sound to Atlanta. These guys are both in their early 20s, yet still display their unique spin on rock.

Friday, January 25th-Blue Dogs at Smiths Olde Bar
25 years of experience, and nine CDs have given this alternative country band a step up on the rest of the music world. Few can really boast that kind of expertise. Blue dogs bring rock back to the roots.

Friday, January 25th-David Wilcox at Eddie’s Attic
He’s a folky singer songwriter similar to Joni Mitchell with his open tuning. Wilcox has that kind of wonderfully mellow style that has a home at Eddie’s Attic.

Friday, January 25th-The Interns with special guests at The EARL
The glam-metal band out of California don’t mess around. Their keyboard player has been described as a “one man jam band,” and they are set to release their newest album this spring. Hope for some new material from these guys who have sold millions of albums nationwide.

Friday, January 25th-The Sexual Side Effects with Go, Robo! Go! And Meteor Eyes at The Drunken Unicorn
Well…I am intrigued just by that band name honestly. They are a little bit post punk, a little pop, and a little indie. Really, they are a little bit of everything. They released their debut EP last year and are now in their hometown of Atlanta to play at The Drunken Unicorn.

Friday, January 25th-Taddy Porter at The Masquerade in Purgatory
I didn’t even know Oklahoma made rock stars…apparently they do. The quartet out of Oklahoma have scored touring spots with Slash and Finger 11. Their newest album “Stay Golden” is set to release next month, so maybe some new material will be played! Don’t miss these guys in Purgatory at The Masquerade.

Saturday, January 26th-Bubba Sparxxx with The Wheeler Boys and Hard Target at Peachtree Tavern
Country rap? Yeah this is a thing, and it’s becoming ever more popular by the day. He’s fusing his southern upbringing with his love for rap. Check out one of the innovators of country rap!

Saturday, January 26th-Camper Van Beethoven with District Attorneys at The EARL
Meshing nearly every rock and alternative style like ska, punk, folk, and alternative country, these California natives are back and ready to play. After taking a hiatus, the band reformed and began touring again in ’99. Joining them at The EARL are the Shins-esque Atlanta locals District Attorneys.

Saturday, January 26th-Connor Christian & Southern Gothic at Vinyl
For a more country night, head to Vinyl to see Connor Christian & Southern Gothic. He’s kind of a modern day troubadour, who retains the original poetic styles of his genre. Don’t miss this unique night at Vinyl!

Saturday, January 26th-Moontower at Smiths Olde Bar
Based out of Atlanta, they are a rocking jam band. They have shared the stage with members of Widespread Panic, and also bring a different acoustic spin on the jam band.

Saturday, January 26th-Richard Bicknell at Eddie’s Attic
Since the late 80s, Bicknell has taken the stage as a folky singer songwriter. He has opened for Elton John, and played nearly every venue in Atlanta. The Atlanta music scene vet is back at Eddie’s Attic this weekend.

Saturday, January 26th-The Devil Makes Three at Terminal West
A folky blend of bluegrass and acoustic, The Devil Makes Three hails from California (a lot of California natives this weekend). They have released six albums, and have seven years of experience under their belt. Listen close and you may catch the subtle punk tones they lace into their music!

Saturday, January 26th-ZOSO-The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience at Variety Playhouse
Missing Led Zeppelin in your life? Check out ZOSO covering all your Zeppelin favorites at Variety Playhouse!

Saturday, January 26th-Scotty Cram at Eddie’s Attic
Neo-southern soul artist, Scotty Cram will be ad Eddie’s this weekend. He’s taken his act to Atlanta to make a break into the music industry. Come down to Decatur to support this budding artist!

Saturday, January 26th-Yonder Mountain String Band at The Tabernacle
They are progressive bluegrass. They’ve got banjos. What more could you really ask for?

Saturday, January 26th-The Left Field Experiment: Jneiro Jarel, Count Bass D at 529
This night has happened several times at 529. They compile DJs and other acts for a club night unlike any other. They will be churning out psychedelic beats all night. All of the acts are marked by experimental beats and different styles than the norm.

Sunday, January 27th-Seth Glier & Peter Mulvey at Eddie’s Attic
A lot of singer songwriter options for you this weekend! To finish off the weekend the right way, Eddie’s is bringing in Seth Glier. USA Today said he had an exquisite tenor voice, and if he is good enough for USA Today, he is good enough for me!
